Fall in Senses
Rustling, half-attached, bathed in filtered amber glow,
Topaz, peridot, magenta, coral brilliance,
Vibrant washes of color, engulfing senses, calming mellow,
Refreshing chill, summer's relief, waning essence,
Release, drifting, tumbling, gliding, absolute freedom,
Gentle breeze, kiss of cool, coddled to and fro,
Rocked in mother's airy arms to stitch her dress of autumn,
Approaching her perfect skin, final rest, no fire below,
Brothers, sisters, cousins, friends, knit and woven,
Mother's dress, mother's shawl, mother's frock,
Silk, velveteen, velour, taffeta, cashmere, satin,
Fantastically tailored, elegantly embroidered smock.
Has there ever existed a more elegantly poetic death?

Your writing is aglow as much as the seasonal colors, feelings, smells, that you describe.
